Great rivalries have long been a cornerstone of queer cinema, and we at QFT love them. Maybe because it’s glorified diva behavior? Maybe it’s because it’s cathartic to see others act as petty as we sometimes want to be? But it’s probably because we’re just messy bitches at heart!
This month at Queer Film Theory, we’re celebrating memorable rivalries from cinema that our professors recall shaping their understanding of being queer. It’s going to be over-the-top, hysterical, maybe a little bit petty, but definitely a lot of fun.
